Getting ready to go to the woods. I'm actually looking forward to it. I've cooked a sour cream pound cake for DS and I'm going to drop it off at the school where he teaches. He's also the assistant principal while he's working on his Master's. Then its on to the RV. Tonight we're going to go visit DH's mother. She's 83 and a widow. We don't get to see her as much as we should. Our DS goes to see here alot and talks to her almost daily. He loves his Grandmother. And I have to say she thinks he hung the moon. There's about 25 grandchildren in DH's family, but our youngest son has a special relationship with her. I don't know too many 24 year old's that will go and just set with a 83 year old at least once a week.
I'm going Tuesday unless something changes my mind to put my name on the list to start being a sub. teacher. I did that about 10 years ago. Have not told DH yet. He may not be a happy camper about this. But he is working alot lately and I think I need to get out more. I have decided to join a quilt quild, but they only meet once a month. Being a empty Nester is kind-of lonesome.
Don't get me wrong I love to quilt and sew but sometimes I need a new interest. Of course, DH is going to say " you need something else to do?" Remember I'm office manger, flip I'm his office period. And he Pastor's a church. But it is still as quite as a tomb here during the day. The dog is 6 years old so he sleeps alot. Except this cpu I might as well live in the woods.
'Boy, I'm on a role today.
Looking forward to working on my houses this week. I'm hoping that I'll be finished by the first of next week.
Can't wait to see what everyone is doing.
you sound like me...i know exactly where you're coming from...my kids are grown, too, and after hubby and i married last year, i quit my job...he still works...i stay busy but it gets lonely here all day...and my 9-year-old dog sleeps alot, too!...
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to get some houses done too. I call that my reward sewing when I get other things done and can block out time for myself.
