No pictures today, just a quick note as to what I've been doing and what I really enjoy.
I love to sew and quilt. I find that I go from one to the other. I mostly sew awhile then I move over to quilting. Which is what I did yesterday.
I finished a new tunic top and made a skirt. The top was a New Look pattern and their instruction where alittle mixed up. I finally just did it my way. When ever I do a pattern for the first time I like to go by the basic intructions as close as I can. Then the next time around I just do it. Thats the way I do my skirts. I use a TNT Lois Heinse Pattern and I just do it.
Then I moved on to an apron (FOR ME). Of course it was out of coffee and coffee bean material.
What can I say, I can not only drink alot of coffee I can now wear it.
At the end of the day I put the border on DH's quilt that he claimed. Now to put it together and quilt it. I'd like to finished it before our anniversay which is October the 7th.After 31 years of dealing with me I guess he needs a quilt.
Do you know that to back a king size quilt in 45" fabric you need right at 10 yards of fabric?
And then you need a 120X120 piece of batting. I use warm and natural so maybe someone will put it on sale before I buy not after.
This morning I'm attending a truck show at the local quilt show. Hope I get some inspiration.
Have a good day.
