This is Fun.

I've been following Freda's blog about the house swap. And put my name in the hat.Since I had never done a house block before and I really didn't want to send out anything that was awful, I decided to practice. This could be alot of fun. I think I'm going to go to the quilt store close to my house and buy up some more christmas fabric. I had been 6 fat quaters along with fabric's I had but the possiblilities are endless.
I've always did squares and strips but look out change is about to happen. I had already decided to do a star block for my fall place mats.

For me to sit and do nothing is impossible. I have to be doing something. That is the disadvantage of having your office in your home. Who's going to care if I do the books in the morning before 8a.m.? And as of now I haven't decided to keep my mortgage licensee or not. I really don't like it. You have to dig around in other peoples dirty laundry and find out all of the money problems as well as the mortgage co. and Banks have made it almost impossible to get a loan.

DH is not going to be a happy camper if I go back to an office somewhere else. So here's my way of thinking. Do his office and quilt and sew the rest of the time. It works for me.

I've not been doing much with The Cabbage Leaf. I do have a smocked insert finished and the dress cut out ready to put together. But I'm still working on this picture smocking thing. It is the most confusing thing I've every done. But we will do it!

But right now I want to build houses and put my gift ideals into motion. I'm working on doing the girls aprons. They may not use them but they will have them.
